Sam REMS v2.3.1 - (Updates)
Overview
This is a documentation of the new improvements (v2.3.1) to the Real Estate Management System. The system introduces a new and minimal user interface, along with major fixes and security patches that resolve the client’s existing issues. Also the client gets to benefit from a newly introduced dynamic reporting functionality that brings flexibility in the way reports are generated. Below are the key fixes and new feature:
MAJOR FIXES
Internal Server Error - Code (500)
The new system fixes the existing internal server vulnerability by improving the code performance. There will no longer be any issue of such in the future.
Automatic Apartment Status Update
The system will automatically switch apartment status to VACANT when a tenant’s rent or payment term expires and will also notify the system administrator about the cause of the change of status.
Notification on Tenant’s Rent Expiry
The system will automatically notify the system administrator when a tenant’s rent / payment term expires. On top of that, a reminder or expiry notice will be sent to the tenant via Email or SMS in order to invoke immediate payment renewal actions. By default this reminder is set to start sending exactly two (2) months prior to the payment expiry date at least two times before expiration date.
Clean and Minimal UI Design
Working in version 2.3.1 of the system will be seamless as we introduce a clean user experience and interface design to afford the system administrator the convenience of carrying out daily operations of the system. The colors remain the same Red, White, and Black to portray the client’s logo design.
ADDITIONAL FEATURE
Dynamic Reporting
This functionality comes with so many benefits. For instance, as the system administrator adds more client as well as apartment details, dynamic reporting comes handy when the system administrator would like to generate a list of his clients phone numbers and emails. Even better, the client can generate a report of the location where tenants are renting his apartments the most. This demographic data can help make investment decisions for a certain region.

Deadline
The new system is expected to be completed by Wednesday, April 19, 2023, and deployed on TechPro Africa domain. It will be made available to you latest on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 for one(1) month of User Acceptance Testing period. Once you are satisfied with this upgraded version, we will then migrate it to your domain. Below is the development schedule to keep you informed at every stage of the process:
